The Marathon of 2014 was like a piece of cake
On March 22, 2014, we did 11 miles marathon Run for the Garifuna Nation. There were 15 participated in the Garifuna Nation Marathon leaving the Bronx at 9:20 AM. The first group arrived at 36 Malcolm X Blvd at 11:20 am, one of the person in the first group is 64 years old, did it in 2 hours and the last group arrived at 2:00 pm. They made it in 4 hours and 45 minutes. It was a good work out for some and other was a great challenge nevertheless all made it into Brooklyn at 36 Malcolm X Blvd. Some walked and some was running and walking
In the Bronx breakfast was prepared by Brother Victor and in Brooklyn light snack was served. We had good celebration with lot of laughing, eating, drinking, storytelling, singing, and all received an Achievement certificate. Donation on hand was $1,063.00. We excepted more pledges to coming from other.
